Our Worshipful Master writes:-

On leaving school in Bath, I joined the Merchant Navy on 1st Class Passenger Liners, with the purpose of seeing the world and saving to start a business.

I bought my first franchise in 1972, moving to Cheltenham having married Gill. We have two children.

I have several business interests centred on restoration and Gill runs a 5-star B & B from our family home. Much to the annoyance of some of our members,

I am a lifelong Bath Rugby supporter! I joined Round Table in 1972, along with a number of others, who have since become Masons and the camaraderie from there has transferred to Royal Union Lodge which I greatly enjoy.

I joined the Lodge in 1993 and after a time as a Steward, I decided to take the plunge, getting on the ladder.

The help and encouragement I have received, has been tremendous and I am looking forward to a splendid year.
