Centenary FestivalOur Centenary Festival was held on October 13th 1913 at Cheltenham Town Hall.
The Worshipful Master, W.Bro. W G Earengey opened the Lodge at 5.30 p.m.
Following the opening hymn the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, Sir Michael Edward Hicks-Beach Bt.,accompanied by his Deputy, Grand Officers, and Provincial Grand Officers entered the Lodge.
The Provincial Grand Master accepted the gavel.
The Provincial Grand Secretary read the Old Charter and the Centenary Warrant, (Click Here),to the Brethren.
The Provincial Grand Master then addressed the Brethren before handing the Charter and Warrant to the Worshipful Master.
He then resigned the chair to the Worshipful Master.
There followed hymns and prayers and during the closing hymn a collection was taken for Cheltenham General Hospital. 150th Anniversery.Fifty years later we celebrated our 150th Anniversary.
The Lodge was held by dispensation at the Lilley Brook Hotel (now The Cheltenham Park Hotel).
Our Worshipful Master, W.Bro. F J Winnen presided and we were honoured by the presence of the Provincial Grand Master R.W. Bro. the 'The Hon W.R.S. Bathurst TD, JP, FSA. and his Senior Warden W.Bro. H A Gibson. 175th Anniversery.The 175th Anniversary of the Lodge was celebrated on 16th November 1988.
We were honoured by the attendance of the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Norman Victor Watkins, and the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Very Worshipful Bro. R R Garnett.
They were accompanied by Grand Officers, and Provincial Grand Officers.
The Provincial Grand Master accepted the gavel from our Worshipful Master, W. Bro. J Keighley.
The Provincial Grand Master opened the Lodge and occupied the Master’s chair for the greater part of the meeting.
We now look forward to our bi-centenary in 2013. The Dedication of our New Banner, 2004.We were honoured and delighted to receive the Provincial Grand Master, Right Worshipful Peter Alfred Marsh for the Dedication Ceremony of our new banner on 17th November 2004.
We were also most fortunate because he made the banner for us, the proceeds of which went towards the 2006 New Masonic Samaritan Fund Festival.
The Provincial Grand Master was accompanied by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, and the Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
